Billing Questions

Neuromonitoring services are typically out-of-network and your insurance provider is billed separately from the hospital and surgeon’s fees.

Your insurance will be billed directly for the technical services provided by our IONM Neurophysiologist. This is billed separately from the hospital and surgeon’s fees. We work with your insurance company directly to recover the costs for this service. You may receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB). Please be assured THIS IS NOT A BILL.

Once your insurance has processed the claim, we may be contacting you concerning your patient responsibility. You may be responsible for a portion of your bill but we do not balance bill our patients, meaning the amount you will be responsible for paying will be your deductible, coinsurance and copay amounts per your benefit plan. We provide this very generous discount because our services are provided at the request of your surgeon.
